Jacob Garsez was announced as Saint Martin's Head Baseball coach in July of 2025. He joins the Saints with nine years of head coaching experience across stints at Sonoma State, Oregon Tech, and Antelope Valley. He has accumulated a career record of 291-185-1 as a collegiate head coach.
Oregon Tech, 2021-24
Garsez compiled an overall record of 120-87 including three straight 30+ win seasons. Prior to Garsez taking over at OIT in 2021, the Owls had 11 straight losing seasons. In his first year, Garsez led OIT to a 23-25 record and berth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament before recording 30 wins in 2022. In 2023, Garsez earned CCC Coach of the Year honors after leading the team to a Cascade Conference regular season title and the Cascade Conference Tournament Championship game. In 2024, the Owls set a school record with 34 wins and made their fourth straight appearance in the CCC Tournament.
Antelope Valley, 2016-19
At UAV, Garsez compiled a record of 156-65-1 over four seasons at the University of Antelope Valley. During his tenure, the Pioneers won the Cal Pac championship in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 while also capturing the Cal Pac Tournament title in 2018 and 2019. Earned NAIA National Tournament Appearances in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2018, UAV (46-14-1) advanced to the NAIA World Series and placed fifth. Garsez was alsno named 2016 and 2018 California Pacific Conference Coach of the Year and 2018 NAIA West Region Coach of the Year.
Prior to his head coaching experience, Garsez spent four seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Corban University and was the head coach at Caldwell High School in Idaho in 2011, earning SIC Coach of the Year.

Personal
A 2009 graduate of the College of Idaho with a degree in exercise science, while earning his Master's in Teaching from George Fox...played two seasons at Columbia Basin College, before finishing his career at The College of Idaho, helping the team to a pair of NAIA Region I runner-up finishes...he and wife Jennifer have two children, sons Zander and Owen.
